Article I  The name of this club shall be the Amazing Graze 4-H Club.

Article II   The objective of this club shall be to have fun through learning experiences with friends at meetings, social activities, fair, camps, tours, & other 4-H activities.

Article III   All boys and girls, 9 years old and in the 3rd grade, and have not passed their 19th birthday on January 1st, will be eligible for membership.

Article IV   The officers of this club shall include at least one of the following: President, Vice-president, Secretary, News Reporter, Treasurer, Recreation Leader, Health & Safety Leader, & Chaplain.

(A)-- Club members will be given nomination sheets to take home nominating themselves for 1-3 offices they would be willing to serve in.  (A1)- You must be at least 12 years old and have been a 4-H member at least 1 year to fill the offices of President, Vice president, Secretary or Treasurer.

(B)-- The vice president compiles nomination sheets and prepares ballots to bring to the next meeting. 

(C)-- Speeches will be given by nominees and voting takes by secret ballot.

(D)-- The vice president collects ballots and counts votes.  In the event of a tie, members members vote to break the tie.

(E)-- The vice president will announce who has been elected beginning with president and then the remaining offices.   

(F)-- For positions no one volunteers for, the president currently serving will make reasonable nominations from available club members to fill the remaining offices.  

(G)-- New positions start in January of the new 4-H year so new officers can learn from past officers.

  

Article V  There shall be at least 8 meetings for this club and the dates and locations will be established at the first meeting.

Article VI  The order of business for all regular meetings shall be:

   (A) Business Meeting

        *Call to Order

        *Prayer

        *Pledges

        *Roll Call

        *Reading of Minutes

        *Officer’s Report

        *Committee Reports

        *Old Business

        *New Business

        *Announcements

        *Adjournment of Business Meeting

    (B) Education

        *Introduction of Guest or Program

        *Program

   (C) Social/Recreation

        *Social Programs and /or recreation

        *Refreshments

 

Article VII  Committee for special purposes may be appointed by the President at any time.

Article VIII  This Constitution may be amended by 2/3 vote of the members present at any regular meeting of the club.

Article IX  Payment of dues shall be approved by all members of the club.

 

 

 

Bylaws:

 

Article I  The officers shall be nominated after the current county fair which ends that club year, by the members of the club. The election will follow at the next meeting.

Article II  The regular meeting of the club shall take place at a time and day convenient to the club.

    Section I  A quorum shall consist of 2/3 of the membership of the club.

    Section II  These bylaws may be amended by a vote of 2/3 of the members present at any meeting.

Article III  This Constitution shall be read at the Annual Meeting of each club.

Article IV  An Audit of the club treasury shall be made each year.

Article V  The office of any club officer who misses 3 meetings in a row is to be declared vacant.

Article VI  Other Bylaws

     Should the club members vote to disband, the club will vote on the use of money in the treasury.In case the club does not vote on the use of the money, it will be turned over to the 4-H Committee to be used for county 4-H events.

Article VII  Members will be excused from a meeting if they call the head Advisor or President if they are unable to attend a meeting. Three unexcused absences means dismissed from the club for the rest of the year. Members must attend 4 meetings per year.
