The Clover Report:

The Amazing Graze 4-H Promotional

Members from the Amazing Graze 4-H Club chose the first Tuesday in June for their 4-H Promotional. It was held in the parking lot behind the Millersburg Senior Center, from 8-12 that morning. Each had brought something unique to share.

Everyone enjoyed eating the No-Bake cookies a member had made to represent his cooking project, Mini Meal Magic. Last years club pictures were displayed by a member who had taken Adventures With Your Camera. One of the younger brother or sister of club members was always perched on a saddle a member had brought. It was supported by a saddle rack she had built the year before for her Basic Horsemanship project.

Equally attractive to the younger children was a bee observation hive, borrowed from the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (O.A.R.D.C.) in Wooster. Two lively kittens kept all hands busy. One member brought his ducks named Donald and Daisy. Another member took the chance to demonstrate something from her Self-Determined project, Sheep to Shawl: the old-fashioned art of drop spinning.

All of the Amazing Graze 4-H members enjoyed the chance to promote 4-H by displaying something they had learned in 4-H, but were disappointed by the low turnout. Though the club is considering doing another 4-H Promotional next year, everyone was agreed that more publicity is a must.
